Culturally Competent Therapy:
About Mind and Body Counseling
Mind and Body Counseling is an independently owned and run therapy business and consulting service by Martha Greenburg, LMFT. Virtual and in-person sessions are available in California in order to offer accessibility to clients throughout the state. While Martha lives in Sacramento, she sees clients in Southern California, the Bay Area, and everywhere in between. Mind and Body Counseling is a culturally competent therapy space for people of all genders, races, body sizes, sexual orientations and cultures to feel safe, seen, and respected. Telehealth therapy and flexible scheduling make it possible for you to get help when you need it, and fast! I’m looking forward to meeting you!
“Who do you work with?”
Sex Therapy and Couples Therapy
I work with couples who have experienced infidelity, ruptures of trust, differing sex drives, or difficulty communicating about sex. I work with clients who feel love in their relationship, but are unsure how to bring a spark back into the bedroom. I help clients rediscover their connection to passion, themselves and their partner(s). Depending on your needs and goals, I offer ongoing couple’s sessions, as well as three-day couple intensives. Issues we can work on together include erectile dysfunction, premature or delayed ejaculation, sexual health issues, building intimacy, anxiety around intimacy and sex, performance anxiety, lack of sexual desire or interest in sex, arousal disorders, orgasm disorders, difference in libido or sexual play preferences.
Eating Disorders and Body Image
I work with people who are tired of their life revolving around what they’ve eaten, how they look, or what they weigh. They find themselves thinking about food, avoiding social events, or feeling distracted around loved ones. They feel out of control around food often overeating and then feeling guilt or shame. So many of my clients struggle with body image, and are tired of feeling like their food, exercise, and weight dictate their happiness. If you've tried every diet, and continue to lose and gain the same 15 pounds, or are tired of your mood being affected by a number, therapy can help! I support clients in finding intuitive eating, body neutrality and body trust through individual therapy as well as a sliding scale support group.
